I never called you on your birthday ‘cause I spent the night in jail.
I’ve got no money left I drank it all last week.
Trouble tracks me like a hound, stomps my pride into the ground.
Can’t catch a break …….even when I cheat.

From the long arm of the law I get the short end of the stick.
Peace of mind I have but only when I sleep.
